Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is a branch in physiotherapy that specialises in reducing pain and restoring strength and function in complex musculoskeletal conditions.

Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are members of the APA who have completed post graduate qualifications (usually a masters degree, a 2-3 years training process that only experienced physiotherapist are allowed to go through) in the specialised area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

As such APA titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists have advanced training in the assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal problems. Their higher level of training enables them to assess, treat and manage complex conditions.

Mandatory continuing professional development programs conducted through the Australian Physiotherapy Association ensure that musculoskeletal physiotherapists continue to be the ambassador of the latest cutting edge evidence-based approaches to the management of musculoskeletal conditions.

Maxvale Physiotherapy conducts weekly training by the specialist physiotherapist Dr Max Lim for our physiotherapists to continually update ourselves of these programs.
