Karyn has recently completed her Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at La Trobe University and obtained her Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney. She is an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. On top of that, she is also trained in dry needling, Mulligan technique, and Clinical Pilates. Karyn constantly upgrade her clinical skills with external short courses conducted by the Australian Physiotherapy Association and regular in-house continual education with Specialist Physiotherapist, Dr Max Lim.
 
Karyn has more than ten years of clinical experience in physiotherapy with earlier experience in Singapore acute hospital and has experiences in neurological rehabilitation, outpatient physiotherapy services, orthopedics, geriatric and vestibular rehabilitation. She has been involved as a team physiotherapist for a rugby club in Singapore and as a medical officer for the Singapore Team in the FESPIC games and the ASEAN games between 2005-2007. On top of clinical work, Karyn loves to think out of the box for work processes and for patient care and management. She had participated actively in Singapore's innovative practice award between 2007-2009 and received multiple prestigious awards for her projects. 
 
Since 2009, Karyn has worked in Melbourne with great range of experience in both private practice and in aged care setting. She has special interest in the management of musculoskeletal conditions like neck pain, headache, tennis elbow, hip and gluteal pathologies, low back pain, knee meniscal and sports related injuries. She also has great interest in chronic pain management. She incorporate wholistic approach with "hands on" treatment and self management with exercise therapy.  Karyn believes that prevention is better than cure and empowerment of self efficacy with pain and injury management is paramount.
 
Karyn is fluent in English and Mandarin.
 
Recreationally, Karyn enjoys the nature and outdoor activities like bushwalking, travelling and photography.
